Lae City Dwellers became the first team to qualify for the Oceania Champions League quarter finals with a 1-0 win over Ba FC.
The Papua New Guinea champions have won both of their group games so far and have now confirmed a place in the next stage of the competition.
Solomon Islands winger Tutizama Tanito continued his good form for his new club with a second goal of the tournament and his fourth since joining the club in January.
Lae City Dwellers could even afford to rest star striker Nigel Dabinyaba for the final group game, while Raymond Gunemba captained the side after his four goal showing in the 7-2 win over Tupapa Maraerenga in the opening game.
For Ba FC it means the Oceania Champions League campaign is over after the Men In Black lost their first two games without scoring a single goal.
They actually started the brightest but the Fijians could not find a way past the impressive Ronald Warisan in the Lae goal. Soon though, Lae started to show their quality and it was time for Josaia Ratu in goal for Ba to show his class with a string of saves in the first half.
Tanito was causing havoc in the Ba defence and a number of jinking runs led to fouls on the playmaker. However, it was Obert Bika who came closest in the first half when he hit the crossbar with the goalkeeper beaten.
And Tanito it was who finally got the breakthrough, drilling home from just inside the area after a sweeping move by Lae City Dwellers.
Lae City Dwellers will now play Nalkutan of Vanuatu to see who finished top of Group A.
